Keith Alan Morris is a practicing artist, filmmaker and professor. His carvings and illustrations have been published and in one-man shows in NYC, and his films have played to millions more--from the Guggenheim Museum to Cannes and Netflix. As an artist, since 1994, he worked for independent comic companies as an illustrator and cover artist. He developed a book that DC Comics showed interest in, but DC wouldn't grant him partial ownership of his characters, so the artist did not sign. These characters and original artwork are still owned by the artist today and are being looked at in '20-21 by Warner Media as an animated series for Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. He is currently a woodblock artist, painstakingly carving in wood all of his creations. He currently has a series entitled "NEW ORLEANS GREATS" that showcases the great jazz musicians of New Orleans which are available to view on his website. Every print is unique because of the process to make them. As a filmmaker, he wrote and directed the upcoming crime thriller "The Biker Thief" (2022) and created "Toughest Room" and "7 Minute Sets" (2022), reality comedy series making the rounds. He helped Spike Lee make OLDBOY (Amazon Prime) and directed and shot "Runaway Hearts" (Netflix/Prime) starring John Schneider and Wendell Pierce. He consults on 6-12 studio pictures a year, including The Magnificent Seven (Prime), Elvis & Nixon (Prime), and Mr. Right (Prime). He also works as a cinematographer and producer on numerous films, including Marvista's family western "Rodeo and Juliet" (Netflix), starring living legend Buck Taylor and Krista Allen. Morris' furthest reach was as the writer/director/producer of “Gutter King” – recently ranked #159 on IMDB. Distributed by Multivisionnaire and Metrodome (Donnie Darko, Monster), 2010-present, the film is distributed in over 25 countries, including the U.S., China, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Malaysia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, etc.. He is also the tenured Associate Professor of Film at Dillard University in New Orleans, an HBCU, where he runs the film program as the Program Coordinator. In 2015, the Film program was named one of two Signature Programs at Dillard. He won the 2012 Media Educator of the Year Award by the Social Change Film Fest and Institute and helps 3 to 9 features get made per semester. Morris is sought out by his peers for his ability to take smaller budgets and make epic creations. All of his features screened at the Cannes Film Festival Market etc. and sold for far above what their budgets should allow. More: https://ufo-technologies.blogspot.com/ @KeithAlanMorris on Twitter
